Seventy‑five microentrepreneurs from the RAFI Microfinance (RAFI MFI) Carcar and San Fernando branches participated in the Clean and Climate‑Resilient Technologies Training organized by the Microfinance Council of the Philippines, Inc. (MCPI) on April 13–14, 2026.

The activity forms part of the EmPower Program of UN Women and the United Nations Environment Programme, which aims to strengthen marginalized groups by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to address climate change. The training highlighted practical and sustainable technologies that help communities enhance their resilience to environmental challenges while promoting inclusive economic growth.

Through initiatives like this, microentrepreneurs and their families are empowered to take an active role in environmental stewardship and community development. With every new skill gained, communities become stronger, more sustainable, and better prepared to face the impacts of climate change.
